We have lived at the Colonnade for over nine (9) years and it's one of wisest decisions we ever made. We live in one of the villas and we love the community relations, especially the acceptance and friendliness of the residents. The landscaping is beautiful and well maintained. The actives are awsome and I especially enjoy the gym, card games and Life Enrichment events. The dining privileges are excellent; you never get a bad meal at the Colonnade. The Colonnade, “observations after a year.” We had wintered in The Grand for a decade and last year began to look at a move to a continuing care community. We looked in two states, but decided on The Colonnade after looking at services, amenities and pricing. We are able to retain ALL the benefits we enjoyed at The Grand and the additional benefits available at The Colonnade. 9 years ago when we were both in our late 70's we made a decision to move to The Colonnade. Of course we were impressed with the lovely grounds, 3 restaurants, 2 pools, fitness rooms with programs, activities and classes galore. We chose a casita, which is our own home in the Independent living area. We never regretted that decision. I have been a resident at the Colonnade since January 2020. The Colonnade offers many activities and services that clearly assist a person moving through the aging process. At the time I moved in I was very involved in off campus activities and my on campus participation was light. As time has passed these six years, my off campus is slowing and I am enjoying taking advantage of the many events, activities and community with other residents just waiting for me. Moving to The Colonnade in Surprise was one of the best decisions my husband Dick and I have ever made! During our past 7 years here we haven't had to worry about finding a repair company to fix our broken AC, any yard maintenance around our casita, scheduling routine window washing, or even what to plan for dinner!
